Excellent points you've made here with this particular posting. I read it all a few times in order to make sure I'd been reading you correctly. I value your own stance and I will be certain to check back here.

Congratulations to a job well done. All of your efforts have been worth it.
I have not found my grandparents on the Fellows side yet--I expect this is due to transcription errors. Unfortunately, engaging in any protracted digging and searching on this site is cost prohibitive. I have already spent a small fortune. I feel a bit like a gambler--"perhaps this search will be the lucky one"
This is not a site appropriate for in-depth research, it is a site better suited for downloading transcripts and census images when information is pretty well known. I do hope the cost comes down soon.

The price asked for viewing a page (£2.40 - £3.60, with no subscription option for unlimited use) is nothing short of scandalous. When the 1901 census was first released, it cost 75p to view a page. I know the government wants to recoup the costs of digitisation and publishing, but those prices will be a deterrent to many people, including me. Perhaps that is the intention.

I have browsed through the site and found it to be very good indeed ,I can not comment on the prices because I need access to the County of Lancashire which is not available on this trial.

Have used the site and foud it to be very good but a little on the expensive side. However I think it would have been nice to have a broad spectrum of counties on the trial rather than mostly southern counties eg North Wales and the North of England.
